Fall 2020 Group Hikes

A fun, FREE offering for YMCA members!

Join the Y on one or all of a series of fall hikes. Everyone is welcome–families, individuals, couples, Y friends, and staff. Enjoy the beauty of Vermont, get some exercise, and meet new people . . . appropriately socially distanced, of course.

Sunday, September 13th:  Bolton Valley Fire Tower (Moderate)

Meet at 10 am in the Bolton Valley base lodge in Bolton. Estimated time: 4 hours.

Sunday, September 20th:  Sterling Pond (Moderate)

Meet at 9 am at the Visitor’s Center on Notch Rd. in Cambridge. Estimated time: 4 hours.

Sunday, September 27th:  Mount Hunger (Moderate to Strenuous)

Meet at 9 am at the trailhead on Sweet Farm Rd in Waterbury. Estimated time: 4.5 hours.

Sunday, October 4th:  Mt. Mansfield – Sunset Ridge (Strenuous)

Meet at 9 am at Underhill State Park in Underhill. Estimated time: 5.5 hours. Please note: parking fees may apply.

Masks will be required for Y Guides and recommended for members at group stopping points.

TRX Small Group Training

Transform your body through suspension training utilizing body weight and gravity. Overcome plateaus and elevate your results! TRX exercises are easily modified for all experience levels. TRX is a form of suspension training that uses body weight exercises to develop strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously. “Next Level” TRX

An intermediate to advanced TRX class to increase the challenge and pace. Members must have completed 2 previous sessions of TRX as a pre-requisite for this class.

Women Lifting Weights

Have an understanding of free weight based exercise, but want some additional structure and guidance? Our training staff is here to help! Join our small group where you will utilize free weight based exercises with an emphasis on form and technique to work your way through an entire workout.
