Act 166/ELP Funding: The weekly rate for preschool tuition remains the same throughout the year. The amount owed by the families changes depending upon whether Act 166 funding is applied first. Act 166 funds (also referred to as ELP funds) are provided to all families with children who are ages 3-5 as of September 1st and it covers 10 hours per week for the first 35 weeks of the school year. Starting in the 36th week of the school year, the family is responsible for the full tuition. For more information, please refer to the ELP letter provided to you by your Director.
Absences: There are no refunds or pro-rations for absences, partial weeks (e.g., the first week of school), sickness, full-day closings, holidays, or emergency closings (e.g. snow days).
December closing: Tuition will be charged for the full week of the December closing.
Two-week deposit: The last two weeks of care is due as a deposit upon registration. You will be created that amount for the tuition with appropriate notice if you cancel.
State Subsidy Assistance policies:
- Families are granted 10 vacation days, calculated July-June each year (not January-December). After a family has used all 10 vacation days, subsidy will not cover the cost of your weekly tuition payment. This means that the family would be responsible to pay the tuition rate if you do not have any vacation days left.
- It is the family’s responsibility to communicate with the program Director when they plan to use vacation days.
COVID-19 Policy: You will be charged up to 10 days if a room is closed due to a COVID-related event (possible exposure or positive test). If the closures exceed 10 school days, you will not be responsible for payment during that time.
