Adult Group Lessons

Beginner Adult Swim: Designed for adult swimmers with little to no experience in the water. We will work to help conquer the fear of swimming, and introduce basic concepts of stroke technique and water safety. The majority of this class takes place in the shallow end of the pool. Tuesdays, 6:15-7:00pm.

Intermediate Adult Swim: For adult swimmers who feel comfortable in the water and are looking to improve technique and learn new strokes. This class covers more advanced, deep-end skills such as diving, treading water, and fitness swimming, along with continued stroke technique and safety skills. Tuesdays, 5:30-6:15pm.

Adult Private Lessons

You will work one-on-one with a swim instructor to meet your specific goals. Our team will cater the 30, 45, or 60 minute lesson, working with you on your technique, breathing and other parts of your stroke to refine and make you a stronger swimmer. Our adult private lessons are for those who are scared of the water to swimmers training for triathlons. Underwater & above water video footage is also used if you are willing to watch yourself swim! Contact Jess Lukas, Aquatics Director, at [email protected] with questions or to schedule a lesson.

Cost: Member $74/ Non-member $156 (60 minute lesson)

Youth Private Lessons

Youth private lessons are designed to give children individualized attention to improve or master their swimming skills. Together, the instructor, guardian, and child determine the goals for the session. Private swim lessons are 30 minutes in length and no make-up lessons are offered. Contact Jess Lukas, Aquatics Director, at [email protected] or 802-652-8143 for more information.

Muslim Women’s Swim

Thanks to our generous donors and a grant from the Vermont Women’s Fund, you can learn to swim. Led by experienced Y swim instructors, women meet each week to learn how to be safe in the water and strengthen their swimming skills. Activities range from becoming comfortable in the water, breath control, flutter kicking to front crawl arms, back floating, and other stroke introduction. Safety components include teaching Reach, Throw, Don’t Go.
