Camp Splash

Free swim lessons for ages 3+

Drowning is a leading cause of death among children. Since 2010, Camp SPLASH has been a vital part of our summer programming, offering a fun and empowering introduction to swimming for Vermont’s youth. In partnership with The University of Vermont Children’s Hospital, Myers Pool in Winooski, and the Y, this community-supported program focuses on safety, confidence, and access – teaching life-saving water safety to children at all swim levels, ages 3 and older.

Make a splash!

Designed especially for New American and low-income children, Camp SPLASH is a 3-day beginner swim program that teaches:

• Basic swimming stroke and water safety skills
• Comfort and confidence in the water
• Essential pool rules and safe behavior such as “Reach, Throw, Don’t Go”

Over the years, more than 1,000 young Vermonters have taken their first strokes with us — building not just skills, but lifelong confidence around water.

Camp SPLASH is more than just lessons — it’s about inclusion, safety, and creating a welcoming space for all kids to learn and grow.
