Low Impact & Senior Programs

Whether you’re recovering from an injury, looking to relieve arthritis pain, or just want to connect and have fun with your peers, these programs are perfect for older adults. If you are especially interested in activities that reduce stress on your joints, consider the water-assisted exercise programs offered in our pools (click here to learn more) — providing natural resistance and the ability to improve your balance, flexibility, and mood. Fit Body at the FitLot

Test your strength & endurance at The Fit Lot, Burlington’s outdoor fitness Park! We will target our total body’s strength, balance, flexibility and cardio-vascular endurance through circuit-style training including resistance machines, tubing, bands and TRX suspension training. Designed for all levels. Bring your own water, towel and mat. Sanitizing gel and wipes provided. Location: The Fit Lot @ 130 Gosse Court in Burlington. Free parking directly adjacent to the park. In the case of inclement weather, class will be cancelled; therefore, when weather is questionable, monitor your email for any cancellation updates.

Active Older Fitlot Fitness

Challenge your body and especially your core through this seated resistance training workout using a chair and resistance bands.

Yoga in the Park

Rejuvenate your mind and body, reduce stress and tension, and create balance and energy through this outdoor Yoga experience at Oaklege Park in Burlington, located at 1 Flynn Avenue. This class will be located in the park near the upper parking lot and to the left of the second pavillion; we will specifically meet on the grassy lawn below the tree house or in the treehouse itself. Bring your own mat, desired yoga props, towel and water. This class is for all levels to modify and challenge as directed. In the case of inclement weather, Yoga will move indoors to Studio A; therefore, when weather is questionable, monitor your email for any “change in location” updates.

Balance, Mobility & Core

Improve your balance, mobility, and core through a series of movements that will increase your joint stability, enhance your posture and form, and employ your core strength to better support an active lifestyle and reduce your risks for falls and fall-related injuries. Mat required for core work, followed by standing balance exercises.

Active Older Tread & Tone

Join us OUTDOORS for this fun, energizing cardio and strength workout in the fresh morning air. Meet at the south-end of the Andy A_ Dog Williams Skate Park parking lot where metered parking is free until 9am. To find us, drive Lake St. north (turn right at the Skinny Pancake Restaraunt) and continue toward the skate park. The parking lot runs parallel to the bike path. We’ll enjoy brisk walk on the Boardwalk to Echo, Leahy Science Center Park, where we’ll engage in physically-distanced toning, balance, and stretch work, returning to the parking lot by 9am sharp. Bring your own resistance band with handles along with a water bottle. In the case of inclement weather, class will move indoors to Studio A; therefore, when weather is questionable, monitor your email for any “change in location” updates.
