Low Impact & Senior Programs

Whether you’re recovering from an injury, are looking to relieve arthritis pain, or just want to connect and have fun with your peers, these programs are a perfect place to start. If you are especially interested in activities that reduce stress on your joints, consider the water-assisted exercise programs offered in our pools– providing natural resistance and the ability to improve your balance, flexibility and mood.

Senior Swim

Get socially fit while enjoying our 88 degree program pool. FREE to all seniors (including Non-Members).

Senior Cardio Strength (at Y Annex)

Get fit, strong and energized in this program that can accommodate all levels of ability. Though the use of equipment and gentle dance exercises, our certified trainer will help increase your flexibility, improve posture and balance, and make everyday living easier with this safe and healthy workout.

Silver Foxes

This moderately paced aerobic exercise and muscle toning program includes both aquatic and land based exercise. Classes will improve breathing, flexibility, balance and strength. Weights, cardio and balance exercise are incorporated into these workout sessions.

Tai Chi (at Y Annex)

Gentle martial art that focuses on breathing and concentration. Appropriate for adults of all ages and fitness levels. Recommended to help ease arthritis pain.

Tuesdays 11:00-11:50am Y Annex

Fit 4 All (at Y Annex)

Become stronger and better able to perform tasks of daily living with strength and balance exercises provided by our certified instructors. All YMCA members are welcome to participate and experience the health benefits associated with becoming physically active.

Wednesdays – Fridays  8:30-9:15am Y Annex

EnhanceFitness — (at Y Annex)
