Y School Age Programs provide critical growth in a fun environment where we foster positive physical, social, emotional and cognitive growth.
Camp Koda is a co-ed camp for kids who have completed Kindergarten to age 12 that is offered in Burlington, Essex, Georgia, Underhill and Waterbury. This full and half-day camp provides kids with the opportunity to experience summer in Vermont through building friendships and confidence through hands-on-learning, arts and crafts, physical activities, swimming, field trips, music and drama, and team-building activities.
As a Camp Counselor, you’ll focus on the achievement, belonging and relationships of our campers and develop their full potential by providing opportunities to build confidence and learn new skills. In this role, you’ll oversee a group of campers and facilitate activities from free indoor and outdoor play, sports activities, arts and crafts, to mini field trips, and enrichment activities like swimming, archery or yoga.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a High School Diploma or GED and have an interest in working with school age children. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, be sensitive and mature and relate with school age children, while providing a structured curriculum that meets the YMCA School Age Standards.
