For 120 years, that’s what Camp Abnaki has been all about: fostering personal growth and independence in a safe environment on the shores of Lake Champlain in North Hero, VT.
Traditionally a boys’ resident camp, Abnaki has grown to include a day camp for boys—as well as a variety of co-ed specialty, vacation, and family camp programs that build healthy, confident, connected and secure children and teens.
Currently, Abnaki is hiring a Waterfront Director to oversee the waterfront staff, including lifeguards and sailing instructors in ensuring and maintaining safe practices in and around the water.
The Waterfront Director will ensure proper use of equipment, safety and programming. Additionally, this role will supervise lifeguards while on duty and the Sailing Coordinator to ensure best practices, effective teaching and coaching and guidance to ensure positive experiences for each camper.
This is a full-time summer position and resides on camp property. The Waterfront Director will live at camp for the summer, provide camper supervision, participate in camp activities and support Y and Abnaki values.
