#StayWithUs

The Challenge

Right now, our major sources of income — fees for membership, programs, and child care have all but stopped. Across the nation, Ys and other non-profit organizations are simply trying to survive.

We have created a special fund — THE Y STRONG FUND — to support the areas of greatest need for our organization at this stressful time. There are two ways to support the fund:

Your support means more now than ever.

* * *

“No need to refund my money for classes or for my membership. I consider it an investment in the future of the Y. Please keep my money to use it to pay bills that don’t stop just because you have to close your doors. We are all in this together.”

* * *

“We cannot do this alone. We are stronger as a team.”

* * *

“I was a subsidized member for many years when my kids were young and I was newly divorced. I feel blessed to be in a secure enough financial position now to be able to pay our dues without interruption.”

* * *

“We would like to continue paying our fees for the duration of the shutdown. We are committed to supporting the Y through this endeavor. I work in healthcare and while we have many challenges ahead of us it will be extremely important to have the Y and other institutions open and present after the pandemic subsides.”

* * *

“I am a member of the Y. So that means community, helping each other in good times and bad. As long as we still have our incomes, we can afford our Y membership.”

* * *

“One reason we love being Y members is that we know our membership dollars support a community organization with a mission of service, whether we are using the facility or not. The Y has helped us with reduced rate during some personally trying times.”
