The Greater Burlington YMCA has a gymnastics programs you will flip for! We teach kids to tumble, run, jump and twist in our kid-friendly programs. Kids learn movement skills, fine motor skills, tumbling skills and advanced gymnastics elements.
Tiny Tots (ages 2-3)
Tiny Tots programs are designed to introduce children to sports in a fun, structured environment that encourages participation, builds confidence and fosters a love for staying active. Parents are asked to take an active role to ensure interactive participation that includes drills and small-sided game play.
Beginner Gymnastics (ages 3-4)
Our introductory gymnastics class focuses on enhancing large motor development. Activities encourage coordination, balance, strength, and body/spatial awareness. Emphasis will be on developing self-confidence, building basic skills and having FUN!
Gymnastics II (ages 4-6)
Builds on the skills developed through several sessions of Beginner Gymnastics, enhancing and advancing basic gymnastic progressions on the floor and bars, while improving flexibility and strength. This level is appropriate for 5-6 year olds, or for younger children who have gone through the basics of gymnastics.
