We are excited to share details of three family programs that start the week of September 7th. On this page, please find details on:

Five hours will be set aside each day for families to, once again, experience the joy and fun of our warm program pool. This will be by reservation only, with a maximum of two families (no more than 4 people per family) per 45-minute time slot. Reservations open at 9:00 am, 2 days in advance of your preferred day. This opportunity is currently available only to Y members, no guests or day passes.
The program pool will be dedicated to family use during the following time slots:
Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm and 3:00 – 5:00 pm
Saturday, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
There are a few protocols related to the Aquatic Center that we would like to share:
- No lockers will be available for use.
- Stalls for changing only (no showers) are available in the Universal Locker Room.
- You may bring a small bag and towels onto the pool deck.
- If you would like to use a life jacket, noodle, etc., please bring your own.
- Your visit to our facility will be limited to the reserved time slot.
- All pool users must shower on the pool deck before swimming.

Sometimes it is great to corral the kids inside and let them burn off some energy! We are glad to invite families back into our gymnasium–with access to a maximum of four families (with no more than 4 people per family) at a time–as the weather starts to get cooler. This opportunity is currently available only to Y members, no guests or day passes.
Gym time for family use will be by reservation only and for a 45-minute block. The opportunity to make a reservation opens up at 8:00 am 2 days in advance. In addition to comprehensive protocols for our facility, strict cleaning procedures will be in place for the limited play equipment to be made available to families.
Tuesdays & Thursday, 9:00 – 11:00 am
Join the Y on one or all of a series of fall hikes. Everyone is welcome–families, individuals, couples, Y friends, and staff. Enjoy the beauty of Vermont, get some exercise, and meet new people . . . appropriately socially distanced, of course.
Sunday, September 13th: Bolton Valley Fire Tower (Moderate)
Meet at 10 am in the Bolton Valley base lodge in Bolton. Estimated time: 4 hours.
Sunday, September 20th: Sterling Pond (Moderate)
Meet at 9 am at the Visitor’s Center on Notch Rd. in Cambridge. Estimated time: 4 hours.
Sunday, September 27th: Mount Hunger (Moderate to Strenuous)
Meet at 9 am at the trailhead on Sweet Farm Rd in Waterbury. Estimated time: 4.5 hours.
Sunday, October 4th: Mt. Mansfield – Sunset Ridge (Strenuous)
Meet at 9 am at Underhill State Park in Underhill. Estimated time: 5.5 hours. Please note: parking fees may apply.
Masks will be required for Y Guides and recommended for members at group stopping points.
