Please take a look at these engaging afterschool opportunities. Your child does not need to be enrolled in the Y’s afterschool program to enroll in these activities.
All classes are open to students at UID and UCS. UCS students will ride bus afterschool to UID. Parent pick up is at UID. There is no late bus back to UCS.

Do you love animals? Join Katelyn Irwin for a fun afterschool program where we will explore the basic needs of our furry friends, the different way animals communicate, and other roles Veterinarians have in their communities.
When: Mondays, March 25-April 15, 2:35-4:00pm

American Sign Language
Our program is a 1-hour instructional class where students will learns signs such as family, food, and colors. Students will learn vocabulary for everyday conversations in a fun setting through songs, games, and repetition! No experience necessary.
When: Thursdays, March 28-April 18, 2:35-3:35pm

MePower Afterschool Enrichment for 4th Graders
Authentic: knowing your strengths, talents, beliefs, values, your true self this is your Me Power. Confident: acting on your Me Power and being who you really are. In this afterschool enrichment program, students will use art, music, skits and “real” plays for fun and meaningful learning which will be immediately transferable to their lives at school and in the neighborhood. Participants will learn what Me Power is, the power of “Cool”, what it means for each of them to “Be You, Be Real, Be Your True Self”
Age: For 4th grade students at Jericho Elementary, Underhill ID, and Underhill Central
When: Thursdays, March 28-May 24 (no class on April 25), 2:55-4:00pm
Where: Browns River Middle School Guidance Room
*Students bussed to UID. All students will walk together from UID to BRMS with a Y staff-member.

Welcome Spring! This session we’ll perform at sports events at St. Michael’s College, at the Burlington Waterfront for Kid’s Day and other great events! Lots of community building and team bonding! All events are family friendly and fun for all!
This exciting program stresses fun, self-awareness and community involvement! What can your body DO? How strong can we get? Participants in Cheer Team will learn dance, poise, arm motions, jumps, chants, cheers and some mat skills, all using 8-counts. Learn or perfect moves such as cartwheels/roundoffs, and work on flexibility! You will also learn teamwork, play games, and form groups to develop cheers and dances! Practice is weekly. All moves are appropriate, and cheers/dances are sharp looking, yet easy to learn.
Outreach to others is an important part of our work, and we often perform for seniors and charity events. Do you have an idea for an event? Let us know!!
Uniforms can be purchased at a discount IF DESIRED for about $54 for the skirt, shell and bow. All kids will need black shirts/shorts, white socks/sneakers. These can also be purchased with uniform packages with our discount pricing.
Ages: Cheer team is open to children in surrounding towns, 5-11 years old
