Young Rembrandts Drawing Class

Young Rembrandts artists will draw ALL NEW lessons this winter. Colorful pop art dog, incredible relevant art history and a powerful unicorn are just a few of the drawing’s they’ll learn and LOVE. Good color selection, proper technique will be emphasized in all of our lessons. They’ll build on their skills but also have a ton of fun while drawing and personalizing cool things like a soccer player, pineapple, and a robot lesson. Don’t waste any more time… enroll your child today!

LL Bean Outdoor Discover School

Do you like to be outside even in the winter months? We certainly live in a beautiful place and this class provides you with an experience to view the outdoors with a whole new perspective! In this class, students will learn topics such as Wildlife Tracking, Ice Fishing Basics, Essential Knots for the Outdoors, and Building your Emergency First Aid Kit! Class will be held inside and outside, please dress appropriately.

Grades: Open to all

When: Wednesdays, January 31 –  March 14 from 2:45-4:15pm

Where: Classes will meet in a classroom (TBD) and then go Outside

Cheer Team

Cheer and tumble! Great team experience! No Stunting! Get Strong!

This session we’ll perform at UVM and St. Mike’s basketball games, and work out with college dance teams!

This exciting program stresses fun, self-awareness and community involvement! What can your body DO? How strong can we get? Participants in Cheer Team will learn dance, poise, arm motions, jumps, chants, cheers and some mat skills. Learn or perfect round-offs, cartwheels, and work on flexibility! You will also learn teamwork by forming groups to develop cheers. Practice will be every week. IN addition to UVM and St. Mike’s we’ll perform at other area events such as Kid’s Day! Outreach to other is an important part of our work, and so far this year we’ve visited and brought cards to a nursing home, raised money for the Ronald McDonald House, and performed for both. What shall we do this season? Do you have an idea of an event? Let us know! Uniforms can be purchased if desired. All participants need to wear a black long sleeved shirt, white sneakers, white socks and black bike shorts.

Ages: Cheer team is open to children in surrounding towns, 5-11 years old

When: Thursdays January 18 – March 15 (session 3 is March 29-May 24)

Time: 6:15-7:30pm

Where: Founders Memorial School at the gym in Essex

All moves are appropriate, and cheers are sharp looking, yet easy to learn. Pom-Poms are available for use during the games and events for those that need. Price of class includes ALL events!
