St. Albans Child Care
The Y Early Childhood Program at St.Albans provides early care and education for children ages 12 months to 5 years.
Quality. The hallmark of our program is quality. We are proud to be the only preschool in Franklin County that is both NAEYC accredited and has earned 5 STARS in Vermont’s quality recognition system. The program follows a play-based, hands-on emergent curriculum developed using Vermont Early Learning Standards & NAEYC criteria.
Affordability. Our St. Albans Child Care program is approved for use of Act 166 funds. This helps all parents of preschoolers who are age three (3) by September 1st to receive discounted tuition for the first 35 weeks of the school year. Please ask questions if you are not familiar with the Act 166 benefit. Beyond this benefit, we work with families to pursue state subsidy and Y financial assistance when eligible.
Convenience. With an understanding of the challenges faced by working families, our hours are 7am – 5:30pm and we provide morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack to all children.
Federal Partner. While we are open to all families, we are located within a federal facility and provide priority placement to families that work for the federal government or in a federal building.
