Help the Other Fellow
Since 1901 Camp’s motto has encouraged generations of campers to make the world a better place. As a non profit, we rely on your help to ensure future generations of campers are part of the Abnaki family. How can you help camp?
Kids to Camp Campaign. Camp Abnaki relies on the generosity of alumni, parents, campers, staff and you to help ensure every boy can have a camp experience. In 2013, Camp Abnaki provided over $47,000 in financial assistance to over 90 campers.
Ray Jacoby Campership Endowment. The Jacoby family has a long relationship with Camp Abnaki, and this endowment exists to ensure boys will be able to attend camp for generations to come. The endowment provides one two-week session annually.
Capital Projects. Every year we engage in a variety of capital projects to continue to take care of camp and plan for future growth. A gift to our capital projects enables us to stay on track with our larger camp projects.
Donate Time or Services
Camp Abnaki has volunteer opportunities year round. To find out more, contact the camp office at (802) 652-8180 or email the camp office. Throughout the spring, summer, and fall, there are opportunities to do work projects at our site in North Hero. For a list of current projects, contact the camp office. Electricians, plumbers, and carpenters are particularly appreciated.
During the winter months, you can help us prepare mailings, make phone calls in support of our fundraising campaign, or help with other administrative tasks. These opportunities are at the camp office at the Greater Burlington YMCA.
Camp Abnaki keeps a list of goods and supplies it needs. We ask that all donated items be in good, working condition and, when applicable, have all parts intact. Some items on our 2018 wish list include:
- Lacrosse Sticks
- LED light bulbs
- Water jugs
- And more…
