Pickleball — Open Play

It’s not about Pickles! Pickleball is a fun game that is played on a badminton court with the net lowered to 34 inches at the center. It is played with a perforated plastic ball (waffle ball) and composite paddles. Pickleball is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. It can be played in singles or doubles format (like tennis, but on a modified court with modified equipment). All equipment required to play is provided.

Men’s Basketball League

Vermont’s longest running basketball league is in the midst of its 2018-2019 season. Games are played Tuesday and Thursday nights from 8:00-10:00pm. The season started December 4th and is anticipated to finish on March 28th (including playoffs).

Do you have a team interested in being a part of next season? Are you a player looking to find a team to join? Reach out to Paul Garwood at the Y by email at or give him a call at 802-652-8182. We also anticipate adding a link on this page that will take visitors to a form that interested players and teams can use in advance of the next season to express their interest in participating.

Masters Swimming

Whether you can only swim a few lengths right now and want to improve your swimming and stamina or you are a lifelong swimmer there is space for you with the Dynamo Masters Team. You will get in a good workout each day with other swimmers to help you push your limits. Coaches frequently provide stroke development and refinement feedback to promote better form and prevent injury. Click here for practice times and to register.
