Y School Age Programs provide critical growth and development outside of the classroom with a fun environment where we foster positive physical, social, emotional and cognitive growth. Our curriculum compliments the school day with extended learning opportunities that include sports, outdoor play, arts, skill building clubs, literacy and more!
Each Y School Age Program is available for children in grades K-6 and our full-week options and hours are designed to meet the child care needs of working families.
Currently, our School Age Program is seeking a part-time Assistant Site Director to float between our afterschool sites across Chittenden County to fill onsite vacancies between 2 pm to 6 pm.
This could be a full-time position with the addition of our before school program at Essex Middle School from 6:45 am 8:45 am.
Our School Age Programs operate in the following areas: Essex, Jericho, Fairax, Fletcher, St. Albans, Georgia, Underhill, Burlington, Barre and Waterbury.
In this role, you’ll be a leader to young children by implementing programs in accordance with the policies and philosophy YMCA School Age Programs, managing all youth after school programs, develop activities and interests that fit the needs and desires of the children and supervise Program Staff.
-Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and possess a BA, BS or Associates Degree in addition to at least ten months of experience working with school age children.
-Must possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation to commute between school age sites. Mileage reimbursement is available.
