The Dynamo Swim Team is a strong, fun, goal oriented team for young swimmers, right here at the Y. We focus on creating strong core values, endurance building, individual and team goals, and developing hard working young athletes who develop a passion for the water. Practices for all levels are held in the lap pool. The main season runs early October through the middle of June, with a lighter summer season for those who wish to stay active in the water.
Please Note: In order to compete at Y Swim Meets, your swimmer must be a member of the Y and register for USA Swimming. This includes the Y National Championships, held each April for qualifying swimmers. Swim meets are not mandatory, but highly encouraged.
All new Dynamo swimmers will undergo a tryout to determine which level to join or if another program is more appropriate. All prices are for January 1 – April 15. For more information, please contact Head Coach Chris Cochran at 862-8993 ext. 192 or ccochran@gbymca.org.

Swimmers will be able to participate in travel meets.
High level, enthusiastic, competitive swimmers. Practices will be run with a higher work load and goal in mind. Emphasis on good stroke technique, knowledge of personal style, and continuation of swimming. Swimmers at this level should have a general “thirst” for water and desire to make swimming a mainstay in their lives. Swim Meet participation and consistent practice schedules are encouraged. Dry-land workouts will be run throughout the week.
