A high-quality early care and education experience contributes to the overall well being of all children. Y Early Childhood Programs offer developmentally appropriate activities in nurturing, respectful environments, while meeting the needs of families. All of our early childhood program sites are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and received 5 Stars from the State of Vermont Quality Rating and Improvement Scale.
We practice an emergent curriculum that focuses on the interests and developmental levels of the children. Through authentic learning experiences, all children gain knowledge of the world around them and build the skills necessary for more formal educational settings. Art, science, music, mathematics, literacy and physical fitness is imbedded in daily activities that engage children and build a life-long love of learning.
Y Early Childhood Programs also incorporate health and wellness into the curriculum to ensure children are developing healthy habits that will shape a lifetime of wellness.
