Senior Programs 

At the Greater Burlington YMCA, older adults have a chance to keep active and grow in spirit, mind and body. New friends and new opportunities add joy to life, and the Y also gives seniors a chance to share their time and talents with others, such as children and teens. Programs for older adults include: Strength, Flexibility & Balance Classes, Arthritis and Diabetes Fitness, Senior Swim, Lunchtime Walks With Dr. Stuart Offer, and ongoing special events.

Senior Strength, Flexibility & Balance Classes for Winooski Residents
This senior strength training class uses exer-tubes to improve strength, balance & flexibility. Held in two locations and are free to Winooski Seniors.
Tuesdays & Thursdays 2:00-2:45pm at 83 Barlow Street

Senior Strength Training - Burlington
Work with Personal Trainer, Steve Gaydos, to improve strength and coordination with the use of free weights and other equipment.
Tuesdays & Fridays 9:00-9:50am

Tai Chi - Winooski
Gentle martial art that focuses on breathing and concentration. Appropriate for adults of all ages and fitness levels. Recommended to help ease arthritis pain.

Aquatic Classes 

Silver Foxes - Burlington
This moderately paced aerobic exercise and muscle toning program includes both aquatic and land based exercise. Classes will improve breathing, flexibility, balance and strength.

Arthritis Exercise
