Fletcher Allen Y’s Time is a corporate-sponsored program administered by the Greater Burlington YMCA for the children of the employees of Fletcher Allen Health Care. The center is licensed by the State of Vermont to serve 67 children per day, ages 8 weeks through 5 years. The center is located approximately 2 miles from the main FAHC campus in Burlington and just off exit 16 from route 89. An information and application packet is available through the FAHC Human Resources Department (847-9469).

FA Y’s Time is a nationally accredited early childhood program. The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) administers the largest and most widely recognized accreditation system verifying compliance with criteria for high quality Early Childhood programs. The center has also achieved the highest (5-star) rating from the Vermont STARS (Step Ahead Recognition System).

Philosophy
The philosophy of all of the early childhood programs of the Greater Burlington YMCA is to provide a quality experience of care and learning for young children—infants through preschoolers--fostering social, emotional, physical, cognitive and creative development through developmentally-appropriate activities and positive, nurturing relationships.

Curriculum
The curriculum is a developmentally-appropriate blend of teacher-directed and individual learning experiences with a hands-on, play-based approach. Program Options
Children may be enrolled for 2, 3, 4 or 5 days a week (with the same schedule every week) on a space-available basis. The center is open Monday through Friday year-round, with hours from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
