The philosophy of the program is to provide a quality experience for children ages 3-6, fostering social, emotional, physical, cognitive and creative development through enriching experiences and positive relationships. Curriculum
The curriculum is a blend of teacher-directed and individual learning experiences with a hands-on, play-based emphasis. Teachers ues the Vermont Early Learning Standards (VELS) as a guideline in developing the curriculum. There are eight domains in VELS which include: Approaches to Learning; Social and Emotional Development; Language, Literacy, and Communication; Physical Development and Health. Additional enrichment opportunities may include swim, gross motor, music, movement, outdoor play and field trips. Children learn by exploring their environment and the world around them to develop an increased ability to think, reason, question and experiment.
