Camp Abnaki Print E-mail

Founded in 1901 by Byron "Dad" Clark, Camp Abnaki continues to provide a quality camping experience for boys. Located on a magnificent point of land at the southern tip of North Hero Island and surrounded by Lake Champlain, Abnaki provides breathtaking views of Vermont's Green Mountains and the majestic Adirondacks of New York.

A tradition of commitment to the individual makes Abnaki what it is today, a camp that cares about a boy's needs and feelings. Our motto of "Help the Other Fellow" is still as true as it was in Dad Clark's days.

Program Info
All of our programs are designed to help our campers build
character, develop skills and HAVE FUN.

The normal daily routine finds campers participating in three individually selected program areas. In addition to a strong waterfront program, YMCA Camp Abnaki offers a wide range of traditional camping activities.
Campers will spend their mornings with the cabin group. The focus is to have fun while getting to know your cabinmates.

In the afternoon, campers will choose six activities and receive instruction during these activity periods. It's designed to promote activity, fun, and skill development.
