YMCA Camp Abnaki is looking for energetic, experienced person to assist our Food Services Director at our summer resident camp, located in North Hero, VT. Responsibilities include: Assisting in preparation and service of meals, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and having a one-of-a-kind experience. Trip Program Coordinator - Camp Abnaki
Camp Abnaki has as one of its goals to ensure every camper spends time overnight somewhere other than their cabin--whether camping out somewhere on our 100 acres, or off-site as part of a hike or other trip. We also send cabin groups out on hikes, bike trips, canoe trips, and sailing trips. The Trip Program Coordinator, working with the Program Director, oversees all aspects of this program--working with the nurse to ensure health forms and medications are ready, the food services director to make sure meals are available--as well as leading the actual trips with the cabin staff . The trips tend to be single-day, but this is a program we are looking to expand. This contract is $300/wk for 9 weeks.

Specialty Programs Coordinator - Camp Abnaki
This position works with the Program Director to organize and execute all evening programs, weekend programs during our 3 two-week sessions, and special programs, such as inter-camp activities with girls camps or the 4th of July parade. This person will also provide support to the Program Director in other program areas. This position is key in the development of new and exciting programs which are designed to provide campers and staff with a unique summer experience. This position is contracted from June 15-August 17, at a starting rate of $270/week plus room and board. This position is based at our boy's summer camp in Norht Hero on Lake Champlain.

Sailing Program Coordinator
The Sailing Program Coordinator oversees all staff, campers, activities, equipment and facilities related to sailing at Camp Abnaki during the camping season.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and have 2 years of sailing experience, preferably in a resident camp setting and be a certified Lifeguard and First Aid certified. Other requirements: A working knowledge of sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, canoeing and general boating is mandatory. Good health, vitality, maturity and moral character. Good written and oral communication skills as well as good coaching/teaching skills. Enjoy working with children and have the ability to understand the needs of campers while placing these needs (and those of camp) ahead of personal desires. The Sailing Program Coordinator contract is also $300/wk for 9 weeks
