|
The YMCA offers a full day vacation camp program for school-age children
on most days that area schools are closed. These camps offer children a full day
of fun activities such as gym, games, arts & crafts, exciting field trips and
more!
Listed below are the dates of the
camps to be held in the 2007-2008 school year. Please note that not every
school will run a vacation camp, but we will do all we can to ensure that at
least one camp runs in each school district.

How Do I Register? |
|
Vacation Camp Flyers |
Registration can be done in person, by mail or by calling the YMCA
business office when using Visa, MasterCard or American Express. If you
do mail in a check it must be labeled with your child’s name, vacation
camp site and dates requested. Payment is due at the time of
registration and all accounts must be up to date to enroll. Registration
occurs on a first come, first served basis. Children can not be signed
up before the registration date begins and enrollment ends at 5:00 on
the last day of registration. We cannot hold spots without payment.
Signing up after enrollment has ended results in a $10.00 late fee per
child per day. Once you have registered for vacation camp, changes to
enrollment will not be permitted. All cancellations must be made before
the start of camp, no exceptions will be made! Once camp has started,
cancellations are non-refundable.

What are the Fees? |
|
Fees for the vacation camps are $32/day with a
second child discount of $27/day for children enrolled in Live Y’ers.
$35/day with a second child discount of $30/day for public registrants. The
daily fee includes all field trip fees, no extra charges will be assessed.

When is the Camp Open? |
|
Vacation camps are open from
7:30 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. Children should arrive at the camp no later than
9:00 a.m., so that they do not miss the field trip or special event that
has been planned.

What Should the Kids Bring? |
|
Children should bring
appropriate outdoor clothing, a healthy lunch, two snacks, and two
drinks each day.
|

Will I Be Receiving Any More Information About Vacation Camp? |
|
Yes, a more detailed vacation
camp flyer for all vacation camps will be distributed at your child's
Live Y'ers program as the registration dates approach. If you are a
public registrant you will receive information in the mail about a
program near you prior to the camp registration dates. This flyer will
include the field trips and special events that are scheduled for each
day of vacation camp, as well as confirm the exact location of the camp
near you.

Who Will Staff the Vacation Camp Programs? |
|
Current Live Y'ers directors
and assistant staff run each vacation camp. Please note that we need a minimum of 10 children signed up each day to be able to run a camp. If we
do not get at least 10 children per day, the camp will be cancelled.
Parents would receive a phone call from the YMCA
to let them know that camp has been cancelled.
