Located at Kingsland Bay State Park on Lake Champlain in North Ferrisburgh, VT, Camp Greylock is a day camp that offers boys and girls a program certain to make your child's summer memorable.

Our goal is to provide a positive, enriching and fun experience for children who have completed Kindergarten through 12 years old.

Bus transportation is available throughout Chittenden County. The camp operates Mondays-Fridays from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM, with eight one week sessions.

* Stops at Cairns Ice Arena, Ferrisburgh and Edmunds School are supervised by YMCA staff. Staff are there at 8 am until morning pickup, and through 5:30 in the afternoon. All other stops are unsupervised

Activities

Activities at Camp Greylock include sports, theater, nature, outdoor adventure, crafts, archery, canoeing, and swimming. Each session includes special event days. The schedule provides for both active and quiet times with special theme days happening throughout the summer. Campers will explore new adventures while enjoying beautiful Vermont days on Lake Champlain.

Staff & Supervision

All senior staff are 18 or older and have experience working with children. Children are grouped according to age. Each group of campers is supervised by a senior staff member. Staff are assisted by junior counselors ages 16-17. Two certified lifeguards and a water-safety instructor oversee all canoeing and swimming activities. Up to 80 campers may register for a Camp Greylock session.

Leaders In Training (LITs) for 13-15 year olds

This service program offers the chance for responsible, caring 13-15 year olds (must be 13 by 6/1) to be Leaders in Training at YMCA school-age programs. Learn important leadership and life skills under the supervision of YMCA staff. The cost is $75 per week.

Registration Information

Registration for GBYMCA Camp Greylock begins March 10 for YMCA childcare families and Y facility members, and March 24 for open enrollment. Children are enrolled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Once enrolled in a session, you are committed for the entire session. Exceptions can be made only due to illness lasting more than a week (physician’s note required) or if you are moving. A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of $25 per session for Camp Greylock is due at the time of registration (MasterCard/VISA accepted). Deposits are applied toward tuition cost. You may pay the entire cost at the time of registration if you prefer.

If the session(s) you are registering for is already filled, your check will be returned. Please note: Registration for summer program will be accepted only if your YMCA child care account is current.

The notice will remind you of the tuition due date and the balance due; however, it is your responsibility to pay tuition on time.

Please note: For Camp Greylock, a $10 processing fee will be charged for each enrollment change made after the above dates. No refunds or credits will be made after weekly enrollment ends for each session. Failure to make complete payment by the tuition-due date will result in enrollment cancellation.
