Our mission is to build a strong community by involving youth, adults, and families in programs and activities that develop spirit, mind and body.
To provide exceptional membership and program opportunities to all—regardless of age, income, background or ability—that foster caring, honesty, respect and responsibility, and that are supported by the unique and essential contributions of our volunteers, staff and community.
For more than 144 years, The Greater Burlington YMCA has a long and proud tradition of being at the center of the community. From our humble beginnings above a hardware store on College Street, to the facility we occupy and the programs we provide today, the Y has grown and changed to meet the unique needs of our members, neighbors, and the community at large.
Today, more than 13,000 people from all ages and walks of life turn to us for opportunities to learn, grow and thrive. We nurture the potential of kids, improve the health and well being of our community, and provide opportunities to connect with and support our neighbors through our expansive child care and health and wellness programs. And, our Membership for All Program ensures that we’re financially accessible to everyone. In fact, we support one in four of our members with some sort of financial assistance.
